John H. Glick, M.D.
Dr. Glick is the Leonard and Madlyn Abramson Professor of Clinical Oncology and Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Glick serves as the President of the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Glick served as Director of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania from 1985-2006.
Dr. John Glick is a nationally recognized medical oncologist in the areas of Hodgkin’s disease, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and breast cancer. In addition to having an extremely active clinical practice, Dr. Glick is an acknowledged leader in designing clinical trials conducted at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Glick’s clinical research projects are currently focused on evaluating the effectiveness of novel therapies for Hodgkin’s disease, lymphoma, and breast cancer.
Dr. Glick is Past President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the largest national and international organization which fosters cancer research, education, prevention, and treatment. ASCO is the major national association for medical oncologists, and also represents surgical oncology, pediatric oncology, radiation oncology, and gynecologic oncology. Dr. Glick formerly served as the Chairman of the Subspecialty Board on Medical Oncology of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Glick is a Master of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Glick received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital. He completed fellowships in Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute and Stanford University. Dr. Glick is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
